Call for Photos

Hi everyone, I tried my hand at blogging and have really had some fun with it so I thought a reunion blog would be a good way to spread the word about our Fabricious reunion this year and be interactive at the same time.

Mark was able to reserve the Institute of Religion building in Twin Falls (Southern Idaho University) for July 11th so we'll have air conditioned comfort and very nice accomodations. I'll post directions and pictures in the blog as we get closer to July.

I've collected some pictures from two different "reunions" of the Knute Fabricius family and thought you'd enjoy seeing them. The first is from grandma's backyard in Newton in 1978, not long before Grandma passed away, (that's 30, yes 30 years ago!!!) and the second was in the early 90's in a park in Burley, Idaho (check out the slide show at the bottom of the blog.)

I'm having a hard time getting used to the blog format where you view the most recent information first, so sometimes I end up arranging things somewhat backwards......so you'll need to go the very bottom to see the first post.

I know the pictures are small, but just click on them and they will enlarge to full screen and you can see much better.....even the slide show photos can be enlarged....you'll want to enlarge them for sure because they are too great to miss!

ALSO, EVERYONE PLEASE start gathering pictures....lots and lots of pictures of you and your families. I want to put together a video of Knute and Orpah's posterity and I need tons of photos. If you have access to a scanner, just scan them and email them to me. OR, even better, burn them on a CD and mail them to me.....you can send more that way. I'm serious, tons and tons of photos...baby pictures, soccor, dance, first day of school, graduation, wedding, everything that you would include if you were making a wedding video...it's that kind of collection. If you don't have access to the pictures, make sure that your parents are sending the pictures to me. However, if you're younger than 30 you're probably more prepared, from a technical skill level, to provide these pictures so don't wait for your parents to BEG you to help them.

Thanks for your support, I'm really looking forward to this reunion and I hope you are too. Please don't hesitate to make comments in the blog and feel free to make suggestions for fun things to do... but for sure, put July 11 on your calendar and start making plans to attend. Oh, and if this was forwarded to you, please send me your email address so I can send emails directly....thanks!

  1. Great job with the blog, Aunt Joelle! I like the picture of all the kids at the '90s reunion. I've never seen that picture. How fun! I can't wait to see the final picture project! Love, JoAnn

  2. What a difference 15 years makes...alot of the kids in the group photo have children of their own now...think of the changes the next 15 years will bring!

  3. Oh my! I had hoped that picture would never surface again. I had brand new pants and the button wouldn't stay buttoned up. Thanks for setting this up, we'll keep watching and hope to see everyone at the reunion.
